Wendy's Winter Blast
This year, there will be something big to kick off the Marshall County Winter Carnival: The Wendy's Winter Blast Kids' Fun Run. The fun run is a 100-yard dash beginning at 12 p.m. on Jefferson Avenue, open to children ages 9 and under. The entry fee is $10 per child, which includes a special race T-shirt, a medal for participation and five tickets to Winter Carnival events.

You can register ahead of time by filling out this form and mailing it to the Marshall County Family Resource Network. There will be a special registration day on Monday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at Wendy's Old-Fashioned Hamburgers locations in Moundsville, Benwood, Elm Grove and New Martinsville, WV, plus Martins Ferry and St. Clairsville, OH.
Registration on Race Day will begin at 11 a.m. at Remke Helping Hands Medical Supplies, 227 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville. Lineup is at 11:45 a.m.
